Hello again, firstly i want to thank all of you for your comments. In this second update I'll go with the metal case, so let's start.

The first thing I wanna do is to make a couple of cuttings on the front of the metal case, later on I'll make two circular cuts on the superior and posterior parts of the case, one for a 120mm fan and other for the PSU fan, in the next pictures you can apreciate where I'll be doing the cuttings.

Hola nuevamente, y aprovecho para agradecer a todos por sus comentarios, en este segundo avance continuare con el gabinete, asi que empezemos.

Lo primero que hare es hacer un par de cortes en el frente del gabiente, para despues realizar dos cortes circulares en la para superior y posterior del gabinente que por cierto aqui es en donde pienso colocar otro ventilador de 120mm , en la siguientes fotos se puede apreciar los trazos en donde hare los cortes para los ventiladores frontales, el ventilador de la parte posterior y el orificio superior que permitirar una mejor ventilacion de la PSU(Fuente de Poder).

After struggling a bit making circular cuts and after some grinding, I think the results are quite satisfactory, here I show some photos of the case.

Despues de batallar un poco haciendo los cortes circulares y de haber lijado un poco los resultados obtenidos creo son bastante satisfactorios, aqui les muestro unas fotos del gabinete.

This part will be where I'm going to put the 120mm fan with a custom grill.

Aqui sera en donde instalare el ventilador de 120mm, con una rejilla personalizada.

In the next photo you can see a cut, the purpose for that cutting was to allow air to pass freely into the PSU, the reason for this was that I had to change the original PSU for other with more power, the original PSU when is installed on the chassis has the fan placed at the bottom and when I installed the new PSU, the fan was left on the top part of the PSU :S, so that's why i made that cut.

El proposito de este corte es permitir que el aire pase libremente hacia la fuente de poder, la razon de esto fue que tuve que cambiar la fuente original por otra de mas potencia (la fuente original tiene el ventilador colocado en la parte inferior a diferencia de la mayoria de las fuentes :S), todo esto es para poder soportar los ventiladores que llevara el gabienete entre otras cosas que pienso ponerle mas adelante.

After all the cuts I made, this is what was left of the cutting disc, by the way, I only used one disc through the whole working process

Despues de todos los cortes que hice, al final esto fue lo que quedo del disco de corte, cabe mencionar que solo use una para todo el trabajo

Nice work on the fan holes. If you take a hand file to those edges, you can get them nice and smooth (no need for the U-channel that a lot of people are fond of).

+1, As I work in a machine shop I've got to say a properly filed edge is definitely the best, looks good and you won't cut yourself. Get a rounded file for getting inside those fan holes.

Hi again, here we are with a brand new update, so let's begin.

Aqui estamos nuevamente, con una nueva actualización, en donde mostrare los resultados obtenidos despues de usar bondo en el panel frontal.

"Bondo" para los que no lo conocen es una pasta para rellenar huecos o abolladuras que se usa generalmente en los autos, pero otro uso que se la da es precisamente aqui en el modding, se usa para moldear y dar forma a objetos en mi caso sera para dar forma a los dos orificios que tendra el panel frontal.


On the next photos, I show you the frontal panel before I use the "bondo" over it.

En las siguientes fotos se puede apreciar el panel frontal momentos antes de que aplique la primera capa de "Bondo".

On the next series of photos, we can apreciate the first layers of bondo applied on the frontal panel.

Aqui se pueden apreciar las primeras capas de bondo aplicadas en el panel frontal.

This is what you are waiting for , after a lot layers of bondo applied to the frontal panel and a lot of sanding, just to make the surface very smooth, here are my results.

Ahora si van las fotos buenas , despues de varias capas y mas capas de bondo y de haber lijado bastante, este es el resultado que obtuve.

This is all for this update, I'll wait till the bondo dry, so I can apply one last layer of bondo and then go on with the case.
Finally I'm thinking on what color schemem that I would like to use on the case,
the one I like most consist on mostly black with some details in red, that's for the exterior, and for the interior, it could be red with some details in black. All comments are welcome. See you on the next update.

Es todo por el momento, esperare a que seque el bondo para aplicar una ultima capa, y continuare con el gabiente, por ultimo estoy pensando en el esquema de color que usare para pintar el gabinete, uno de los que me esta gustando es usar color negro con detalles en rojo para el exterior y en el interior rojo y detalles en negro. Cualquier comentario es bienvenido.

Hi again, in this new update, I'll show you the last cuts that I'm going to make to the case before I start painting and I'll show the structure that will hold the two fans on the frontal panel, so let's get started.

Aqui de nuevo para mostrarles un avance mas. Continuare con el gabinete, y les mostrare los ultimos cortes que hare sobre el, y despues les enseñare la estrucutra que sostendra los dos ventiladores que estaran colocados en el panel frontal. Asi que comencemos.

Here you can see some pictures with the last cuts that will allow all the cables from the PSU to pass behind the back of the case, so I can do a better cable managment.

A continuación les muestro una serie de fotos con los cortes que permitiran pasar los cables de la fuente de poder por uno de los costados del gabiente, todo esto para un mejor manejo del cableado.

The structure that will hold the two fans was made of acrylic,here you can see the design.

La estructura que sostendra los dos ventiladores esta hecha de acrilico, el diseño es como se muestra a continuación.

Once the cuts had been made, this was the result.

Una vez que hice los cortes en el acrilico este fue el resultado.

Finally, here are some photos of the acrylic piece placed on the case.

Por ultimo unas fotos de como se vera instalado en el gabienete junto con los ventiladores.
