Default XP not showing other hard drive??

I have 2 HD's in my new Lexa and I'm running XP. My old one (200GB Seagate) pulled from the Matrix (works perfectly) and another new one (125GB Maxtor) not showing up. They are connected via IDE. Both drives are on cable select and are connected to the cable so that the first (200GB Seagate) is the primary and the other (125GB Maxtor) is the slave. Both drives show up in the BIOS and both show up in the Quick boot process, but the slave does not show up in "My Computer". I figured it would appear just as an external HD would. I bought the drive because after rebates it was $12!! so I figured I'll just have another 125GB for other (porn) stuff What to do to make it appear in My Computer?

Go into Computer Manager through the control panel. Make sure they are selected and marked as active there.

Go Control panel-> Administrative tools-> Computer Management-> Disk Management.

you may want to give this a try.
Go to run and type "compmgmt.msc" and hit enter. Then select "disk Managment" in the menu tree on the left. You can then partition the Hd or whatever you want to do with it.

    A complete walk through here.

It worked for me when I gad issues with my HD. You can partition it

    EDIT

    Almost beat you Bucko. lol
