what the point if theres no games out right now that can harness the power? Wait til christmas when the games start coming out and maybe the price will have dereased.
p.s. The 7800gtx is said to be as twice as powerful as a 6800u
Drool... They should release the Ultra variant in the next little while then. On the plus side this should drive down the price of those SLi 6800 Ultras that everyone is banging on about (including me ). I'm keen to see what ATI's response will be... suspense is fun. Nice spot btw, big ups DRece.

atually nvidia said there wasnt gonna be an ultra due to the good response from the gt series.
I just looked at the hard ocp review and the card isnt "twice" as powerful, but the new lighting is absolutly AMAZING.
ati will bring out the R520 chips pretty soon too. just imagine two of these new generation cards in dual setup. im still yet to find a game that wouldnt run flawlessly maxed out on my x800pro. i dont see any reason to upgrade
actually hardocp reviews single and sli setup of the 7800gtx
hmmm sounds good, maybe they will make 6800 a little cheaper so i could get one
dang it!!
Anythings possible it just takes longer.
Naw man the new lighting atually enhances games that are out right now, if you havent , go take a look at how much better splinter cell's lighting is compared to i think a 6800 ultraOriginally Posted by Frakk
it might have some features that enhance graphics but not for $600usd. there are just so many, more useful things around to spend that money on when you already have a decent videocard. of course if someone is building a comp its different, they might wanna shell out couple extra coins to get the best and be somewhat futureproof. anyways, im with the ATI bandwagon and im pretty sure the R520 will kick the G70's ass real hard nvidia will run home crying just like with the 6800 and 850 series. and now nvidia doesnt even have the SLI advantage, but Crossfire is kickin its ass hard too.
crossfire hasnt even come out. I think your just a fanboy :p
