I have a couple of 80gb sata drives and a DVD reader/ CD R/W drive to donate. Also several plain dvd drives no writing. I can also donate a Sound Blaster Audigy 2. All new parts removed from Dell's because our customer _has_ to have specific parts in their systems. (an Dell would not comply). I will check on the OS availability.

EDIT: I could also pony up a floppy drive if needed.

Have we settled on a theme yet? Are we going with WoW? Someone mentioned having a beize case, I think it would be great to start with a case that is beize, it would kind of show our general disdain for the retched color!

Here is the spare case I have. It's about 5 years old.. Looks like a ****ty pinto right now, but Paul would probably make this thing look like a mercedes when he's done. Let me know if you want it.

Im not really into themed cases (like WoW, Doom (no offense Paul, its a good case, just not my style )). Just my $0.02

IMHO, we should build a case from the ground up. Build the case around our specs, rather than the specs around the case.

It may cost more, but it seems like we have quite a bit of interest, so it should spread out nicely.

No you're absolutely wrong. Not about to venture into building a ground-up case without having the hardware. its just useless. Your style is irrevelant at this point, we'll have a vote on it when the parts are sorted out. I know it was your idea to start, but now it belongs to everyone. Hence the term "community", not "Chedabob"

I'm not making any promises as to the complexity I'm willing to put into it--this is a shared thing so I guess we all have to do a small part of it. Even if it was a painted case with our logo on the window, with our names laser etched onto it, this would be great for someone who doesnt have a computer
