I popped out the drive bay covers and removed the front glass.

Then taped off the front panel

I painted the bay covers separately

Then painted the vents. After it dried I made sure that none of the vents was clogged.

    Then removed the paint tape

Lastly, I slapped the covers back on.

    you mean this..
Polished aluminum hood scoop w/flames engraving for single Quad - with inlet screen and bezel. 13.5" long - Fits carbureters with 5-1/8" neck. 6-3/8 x 2-1/2" air cleaner and mounting hardware included.
    ?
    ..?

    it's brilliant!
    and it goes A+ with a car-mod

oh.. i forgot to look at the price if i had the bucks (and the posibility to buy it online) i would take it! it would probably be very hard to make this by yourself, if possible.. and maybe the materials wouldnt be 100 bucks, but the machines and experience would be

oh, this mod is awsome! nice plan and nice case

You're right, that green is REALLY close to the original car color. I think this is going to be a terriffic mod, and look forward to the end result.

This is inspiring me to build something..

What if I get a cheap $10 mailbox and cut it at the dotted line and use the curved part for the scoop?
