the next one will be a departure into the realm of HTPCs with some custom electronics, and a very complex Skin to pull off the whole theme.
I will design the Skin objects in Sketchup so I can do screen caps of different camera views of the same model.
It will end up looking like Cell Shaded versions of a well known 80s series.
The exterior will carry that theme, and more, to an extreme.
So, round about Thanksgiving, you will start to see some postings on it.
Thanks for all the great feedback, it really makes it worthwhile to share!

It will take some time to hammer out the details, and get all the little bits working, but a Log will be started sometime after Thanksgiving.

why dont you start the worklog now, let us watch your work in real time
LOUD AND PROUD !
...because I haven't really started yet.
Doing my research into the HTPC front ends, I got my custom PCB so it will take some LCDC programming, I have to do the writing for BloodMoon (9 pages so far, probably 9 more to go), and I haven't decided what to do for the outside of my HPTC yet.
You will all get to see it when I start, but it won't be as much cutting and drilling like BloodMoon is: more nifty software in the HPTC front end (like firewire HD recording from Cable) and spiffy button design by modeling my theme in Sketchup so it all "fits" when you use the remote.
