    Default Help finding 16:10 hdtv

    I have a Samsung T260HD 26" 1080p 1920 x 1200 but can't manage to find any others besides a hanspree (or something like that).

I plan to use the tv as a monitor and my computer is 16:10. Maybe I should go with a 16:9 instead since I'm about to sell this computer and most others are 16:9?

Sell the computer? The computer should be able to output 16:9 no problem. By computer are you referring to your current monitor?

For TV's and monitors now, 16:9 is the way forward. I'd prefer the 16:10, but it's cheaper for them to make 16:9's. Same 26" they can label to the customers, but less area.

Really confused by what you mean as computer though.

I run my laptop at 16:10 and would like to keep it at 16:10 but I guess since it'd be using an external monitor I guess I can take a hit for the 180 pixels.

The reason you won't find a 16:10 HDTV is because its a TV and not a computer monitor. HDTV is the 16:9 format which is a broadcast standard. I would say at least a good 90% of people buy HDTV's to watch TV so it wouldn't really make any sense for a manufacturer to produce a 16:10 HDTV.

    This.

I have four 16:10 monitors, they're dead common. BUT if you want a 26" one, your options are limited as it's an unusual size. If you want a matching sized monitor with the same res, your best bet is an ilyama
