Default Now that Oblivion is getting old...

I've played Oblivion through and through. I've evn joined TESNexus and have added tons of Mods, but alas it's still starting to get old. Any similiar games I can delve into next?

Fallout 3? Albeit it has guns and such, but you could just go melee. Made by the same developers, and has quite a similar feel to it. A different setting though.

Fallout 3 is a good choice. The new C&C is out too.

Another for Fallout 3. If you liked Oblivion (obviously) and you like the post-apocalyptic genre at all, you will love Fallout 3. ...just, if you have an Asus Xonar you might want to disable it when you play, the driver makes it crash for some reason...

So it's a first person shooter? Is there a God Mode safety net?

I guess I should have looked at the TES forums. They feature Fallout 3 and Dragon Age: Origins. The latter looks more like Oblivion, but I worry about wasting money on something without being more sure

I'm thinking of using Steam, but the games are soooo pricey. I also worry about how fast I can expect it to be over a wifi connection.

Dragons Age is more a traditional style western rpg, akin to Baldur's gate and such. Micromanagement of your party and such. FO3 is probably a better fit than DA:O, other than the guns and apocalyptic nature.

If you aren't opposed to something a bit older there is also Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind. Huge amount of mods available, similar gameplay (mod out the roll based hits if you don't like them), expansive world, etc.

Dark Messiah... Dragon Age looks bad ass and it's rated 91/100.

If you can't find demos, download them. If you like them, buy them.

I thoroughly enjoyed Dark Messiah Might and Magic. A lot of people didn't care for it from what I hear but I really liked it. Actually I might play through it again. I never checked out modding scene for it.

Also, its entirely linear. So no exploring random dungeons and such, but I really liked it.
