I went to try one out at Best Buy. It was 'meh' which is exactly what I expected it to be.

Seriously though, no... They were idiots and just threw iPhone OS on it instead of actually bothering to make something that would actually take advantage of the hardware...and as a result, yeah, it's basically a giant iPhone.
As for the video, did anyone else notice that he was somehow using the capacitive touch screen while wearing leather gloves?

I wonder if the 4.0 announcement means that we'll see updated software on the iPad soon? I may be getting my hands on one soon (loan/test), so I'll let you all know when/if I do.
