I am actually a member of the OCAU (Overclockers Australia) team (rank 2nd in F@H), I may convert over.

If I can afford a fuel cell battery for my computer, I'll join in too! (Can't use my PC too much since power bill is high)

You could always look for a more efficient power supply, or patch into the neibours (bad spelling i know) ring mains

Joined up with the Rosetta@home team. Three boxes working on it (desktop, laptop, and local server (it's very weak but on 24/7)).

    I have a Silverstone 850W PSU, it's already 80% efficient at least.

This is completely new to me, but it looks like a really good way to contribute our vast resources in numbers to help with scientific development. Am I reading that right? If that is the case then do we have an official TBCS organization to focus on? If so, I'd like to give it a little press. Someone take the reigns and give me a simplified rundown of what's what and I'll see about getting it circulated.

I find it hard to believe that my computer makes much of a difference, when they've got behemoths like Blue Gene out there cracking at it. It's like making penny donations to Bill Gates
Trust me on this, it makes a major difference. Ack, for some reason I just got forced out of my University web-pages, or i'd give you exact figures. Anyway, the distributed folding systems are the most powerful computer on the planet. It's power is measured in terraflops. Adding your spare cycles makes all the difference.

It is true. I left my PC downloading overnight as I was downloading many game patches, updates, demos and windows updates and my GPU folder 6 proteins. I run it constantly, I only ever stop when I am gaming.

With 4 working machines at home currently, I really need to get back in the game, so to speak. This will be a good project for this week.
