    Default Proxy.

Alright folks. I have a spare computer that I'll be turning into an internal file server (perhaps a windows media server as well for the xbox 360) and I was wondering if anybody has any good proxy server software and guides to set it up. This way I could boot up the server and get a pretty quick connection through my home network when I'm at school, so they don't block some resources I actually need (what the hell do you mean google is blocked again?).

Cheers, and +rep to all that help.

I happen to have a running worklog on mine in the tips, tricks, and tuts section. Fedora 7 with screenshots.

I normally don't plug other sites, but Bit-tech has a great tutorial on making a file server using Xubuntu.

I followed it when I set up my own server.
