    yes the freezer works, and if it dosen't it won't damage the platters.

    Done the freezer trick a couple of times. It don't work everytime, but I've been able to recover some important data. Trow the drive away after the recovery

    Anyone who think a computer is sexy need to #$? and fast

    After the recovery, I drilled several holes in the drive right through the platters to ensure no further recovery could take place, and that no one else would attempt it either.

    Then I beat it up, and tossed it.
