News Desk: Google Chrome OS Just around the corner?

During October there was talk that the new Google Chrome Operating System was due to appear 'next month'. Well last month's next month is this month, and the talk has returned. There is now a fresh rumour doing the rounds that the first release of the OS might be with us in as little as a week. Will we see an alpha release of this new software before the end of November 2009?

Mozilla Releases First Beta of Firefox 3.6

The Mozilla Community has just announced the first Beta release of the newest version of the hugely popular Firefox Browser. Version 3.6 Beta 1 is now available to download from the Mozilla website. This beta version of the next version of Firefox is built on the Gecko 1.9.2 web rendering engine, containing many improvements for web developers, Add-on developers, and users.

News Desk: Another Microsoft / Apple conflict?

Despite the dire title, no this isn't another case of one of these two computer big-boys shouting things about the other. Details are emerging relating to what could be a major problem between what may be considered the two companies flagship products. The products being the Apple iPhone, and the brand new Windows 7. That's not the end of the list of combatants though as the problem only happens when you combine the two with Intel's new P55 chipset... Read the full story here.

Enermax Launches a Global Support Forum.

Enermax recently launched a global support forum, a trend we are seeing from more manufacturers. While this should not be considered the final stop to tech support it does make a good starting point. So if you are having problems with your Staray or Uber Chakra you now have a second place to post your Enermax related problems. 4 Cores @ 2.3Ghz, and 45W of heat???

AMD has announced a new batch of low power CPUs in Dual, Triple and Quad-core, most of which have a very low 45w TDP. In real terms this translates into much lower cooling requirements, as well as potentially smaller space requirements. Maybe we'll soon be seeing a resurgence in the SFF (small form factor) modding scene as these processors are being marketed as ideal for ultra small PC's but with the AM3 compatibility, your imagination is the limit.

Having the mod you have slaved over for the last year make the cover of a major publication like Computer Power User is a huge accomplishment. Making the cover of that same magazine twice in one year is an accomplishment of epic proportions and that is just what our very own Brian Carter AKA "Boddaker" has done.
