    Default project flammable

well im new to case modding but ive got a old senix computer that only I use so im going to give it a bit of a face lift more for testing out and figuring out how to do some of this stuff so when i get my new computer ....hopefully with in the next few months ill be able to start doing things to it too.

well heres a picture of the old beast as she sits today, im using her right now
picture isnt the greatest since i took it wiht my camera phone

ive got some ideas but im still thinking of some more things to do....its going to be based around the theme of flammable and be painted dark blue that is all i really have thought of for now. if you have any ideas for somethign cool let me know and i might do it. well thanks for looking and I'll keep you all posted on the progress of this project

If you want to do some basics to improve the looks and get little experience under your belt, cut a side hole and add a window, cut a hole for a fan, add some cable wraps and lighting, stealth the drives and paint it. As far as making it look flammable, you could cut a custom fan cover and window mask that looks like this:

What is the toggle switch on the front for?

yea i have a window design something kinda like what you posted in the works, and the toggle switch on the front is to turn off the blue led that you see there cause its annoying at night when im trying to sleep, there will be 2 more switches there one to turn off the led fan im gonna put on the front and another to turn off a lighted usb hub cause i need more usb ports

well time for an update so yesterday i stripped off the front pannel and the side pannels to c what i was looking at and well heres a pic its nothign special and again its a camera phone so excuse the bad quality

then came todays progress....ill let the picture speek for its self

so what you think so far and after all my cutting and filling is done im going to paint the hole computer dark blue posibly a dark metalic blue and use black for accents and stuff....like the drives im also using a smoke alarm as a vent that im going to cut into the top of the case i chose a smoke alarm because it goes with my hole flammable fire kinda theme

it's coming along nicely! nice cutout can't wait to see it when it's all done!
    where are you?

    fact: different = abnormal
observation: everyone is different, therefore everyone is abnormal
conclusion: there is no normal, express yourself

Just make sure that you take out the insides of the smoke detector, as it's rather annoying when those things go off while vaccuming or have a fan behind it......

Very nice work on the cut-out. Clever plan for the smoke detector - I like it.

Can't wait to see what you do next with it.

well heres the last 2 days of work that ive done, I cut out and mounted the gutted smoke dector though no pics of that really and cut a rough hole in the front for the fan to get some air plus i filled and am still working on filling all the little holes that were orignally on the front. well anyway heres what it looks like right now...the side cover with the cut out isnt on cause i was to lazy to put it on right now....

just in case anyone is wondering why there is a random wire hanging out of the case it is because i broke it off my toggle switch and figured that it would be safer like that the other switch thing is the power switch so i can turn the computer off at night because it is gettin bright with it right beside my bed...well what do u think so far...and any other tips or ideas anyone has for me please feel free to share them....im runing out of things that i can do easily and inexpenisvly. damm thats a bad pic it looks better in person
