take an old circuit board, (preferably with a mem chip or something interesting on it)cut it to the shape of the plastic storage box with a Dremel and drum sander attachment and hot glue it on. then paint the remainder of the clear plastic with a Sharpie marker.
In a time of chimpanzees I was a monkey.
I wanted something functional
If you wanted to still be able to put the SD card in the box, you could do this:
Take 2 small LEDs (3mm or smd LEDs), a small watch battery or two and a micro switch. Add some wires, solder and you have yourself a light up SD box for when you need to find it while taking night pictures!
WTF isnt functional about the box idea...I thought you were talking about the clear case, not the card itself. Make yourself clear so people can help you.
Use the box to store your snot and naval lint collection, for those late-night snack cravings. Functional, and tastey!

the LED light is also a good idea..perhaps get one of those blinking lights found on greeting cards w/battery and mount it somehow--along the lines of what Redundant suggested

Buy a toy gun hold up a bank van. Gold plate it. There.

MODS: How about a pneumatic powered cylinder that, after fingerprint confirmation, unlatches a drop-forged steel security hook, which in turn opens up the case... revealing the SD card.
You might have to work on the weight and power consumption of the unit, tho'...
