Default Powering PC Fans with RCA.

This is how you power fans via a RCA Jack.
You can either hook the RCA Cord to the fan or vise versa.

The Black wire from the fan is ground solder it to the RCA Shield. or the Shield Wire from the RCA Cable.
Solder the Red Wire to the center post, or the center Pole wire on the RCA Cable.

Thanks for trying to Up my Rep.
I figure this will help allot of people out. Or atleast give them something easy to do.

I'm going to get a rca brick from Radio Shack and mount in on a panel so I can easily hookup lots of different fans.

Here it is the other way around.

I did it this way so ya'll could see the wire. You Should wire your RCA Cord closer to the fan and Heat Shrink your wires.

Now you can wire RCA Cables to all your fans, and wire a Nice RCA Power Brick to your Power Supply.
No More Fiddlin' with those Molex Connectors.

I've been searching the internet for just this type of mod for the last hour, and here it was all the time. When you say RCA power brick, is this just a box that just passes through the power from the power supply, or is there a way of (e.g.) powering 5 fans from one molex?

I was thinking about getting one of these to use:

Yes, you can use the same line I wouldn't recommend more than 2 fans per 2 rca jacks though.

It all depends on the wattage of your power supply.

Anyone. . Feel free to correct me if you think I'm wrong.

I love it, first the guy requests a tutorial and then he writes one! Nice job too!
