    Default Thermalright HR-11 Backside Cooler

    http://www.pccasegear.com.au/prod5748.htm
After seeing this while looking for a cooler for my brothers 8800GT it got me thinking. I have an 8800GTX (full specs in sig) I will be water cooling this card with a Swiftech MCW-60. This block performs well but after reading a quick review on this product I think it could perform a whole lot better.
Here is the review I read:
    http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum...er-review.html
Just letting you know that in the tests they used the HR-11 with the stock cooler only and compared it to a Thermaltake after market cooler with out the HR-11 cooler. With a water cooled graphics card I think the HR-11 could make a difference.

Let me know what you think. The only problem I can see is the same one in the review, the DFI Karajan audio module may get in the way. I could always mount it with the fins pointing towards the case window (I have a fan blowing that way anyway).

$40 isn't worth the 3-5 degrees or so drop in temp. i would sooner upgrade the cooling (water, or air) and that will drop the temps even on the backside. (obviously not as much as if that where installed, but good enough)

I love the Thermalright stuff, be really nice to have all those coolers in a case full of mirrors.

    That is so cool hahaha.

Do any of you use or know of someone who uses the HR-11? I am seriously considering getting one but first I want to know if it would compromise the contact of the MCW-60water block due to it using the same mounting holes as the HR-11.

After thinking about it I have decided that I wont end up getting one. It looks cool and all but as you have all said, an extra 2-4*c isn't worth it.
