    Default Best rotary tools

Could anyone advise me on the best rotay attachments I should buy?

The current ones that came with my rotary tools are pants.
I refuse to use it until I've got better attachments, since a cutting disc exploded in me face while cutting(melting) perspects. had only just fitted the attachment and it was perfectly straigh with no wobble.

left me with a nice little scratch on the center of my nose after a chuck hit me..

From now on I'll use some goggles!
The rotary tool itself seems a good quality.

    The best attachments?
Well that depends on what you are doing. There are many different attachments available.
See this thread for some of them.

For cutting wheels I find the reinforced 1" Dremel discs to work well and not break like the cheapo ones.

I kind of ment that best quality attachments as a whole.

I suppose the cutting discs, drinding stones and sanding tools would be most important for me.

Idealy, I'd like to know the brands you guy know and trust.

On the whole Dremel branded attachments I've found the best, though I do tend to buy cheap as well.

Dremel brand. The most popular rotary tool brand ever.

Like Bucko said, the reinforced cutting disks are the best (besides diamond coated). They are big, don't break easily, and work very well.

i would get a dremel kit since it will have tons of attachments for lots off different jobs. i think moderate kits go for 50 but not sure. for the cutting disc's i've never used a diamond one but i like the reinforced ones the best, i still use the cheap disc's for plastic or something messy.

It depends, at 5.000-12.000 rpm mine is very quit. You can talk while working, if you talk a bit louder. Higher than 12.000 rpm is kind of loud. never got over 20.000 till now so I can't say something about the rpm's above 20.000.
