I just pulled the specs off a website. . Figured I'd post them.
    Good Info! I didn't know that. I have a 7800GT, and a Pentium D 960, 2GB Kingston. . On the PC i'm on now.

Hopefully. . it will run he game without the dreaded sluggish movement.

I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

when they say this is the minimum requirements how do they come by that. i tried playing overlord and i beat the minimum requirements by a little and it runs like crap, like 6fps.

I'm really not sure, and I had the same problem with the Lost Planet demo. My system isn't too shabby (at least I think... (E6600 @ 3.2GHz, 2GB Corsair, X1600PRO OC'd...)) and every 2 fricking minutes I got a message "The game may not run well on your system, go into the System Settings and adjust" or some **** like that... But then again on the box the requirements said "Visit online for ATI card requirements" so I don't know.

According to Cevat Yerli (President of Crytek),
"At E3, we were running on a [GeForce] 8800 video card and a dual-core Intel [CPU]with 4 gigabytes of RAM at very high settings. Not the highest, though! Most of the time, it was running smoothly.

Yes, we [are] progressing very well on optimization, and we will achieve our goal. Two-to-three-year-old rigs will run Crysis well, with lower visual settings still competing with the best games of two-to-three years ago."

This was an invterview on Gamestop.com.

Crytek made FarCry run fine on loads of systems, i think they will be able to do alot to get it running on older machines. I have a feeling this Game is going to need some amazing hardware to run on maximum specs, but it will probably look fine on medium. As long as whatever i play it on can kick it out at a playable FPS on medium settings i'll be happy, i don't need all the graphics to play a game. But theis game is also heavily cpu reliant so a Q6600 OC'd could be very useful for it, mixed with 4gb of RAM, and a 8800GTS/GTX i reckon it'll play fine, and a system like that by the time Crysis hits stores shouldn't be too high.

I'd not worry about settings too much, play to have fun, that's my new philosophy when it comes to pretty much anything (certain restrictions apply, durr), especially games. I'll probably try it out on my PC after I get more RAM at the least, 1gb non-dual channel sucks ass. I play Oblivion just fine on my 6800XT (low rez, no HDR lighting, but meh).

It does look like a cool game, like STALKER but pumped up physics and all... speaking of which, not to hijack, but does anyone know about the so-called physics cards that were supposed to be coming out?

like i've said before i would stick with 2gb's for now but since its only 169.99 for 2 more gigs then i would gladly get another 2 if it helped alot. part of the reason i'm building a 2-3 grand pc is not only to max out the latest games but to make it last a long time. i'm getting a 8800 ultra so i can add another one instead of two gts's which would be fine right now but not 10 years from now.

as for the physX cards you can get then but theres only a handfull of games that use them properly.

As Spawn said, those cards are out (and have been for a while..) but only a few games use them (I think they still are at under 20 games). GRAW uses it, and that's the only one that comes to mind right now.

I really thought that these would be cool to have, but with Stream Processors now in graphics cards that can focus on physics, or whatever they need seem to be more promising. There was an article on Bit-Tech about Ageia showing the usefulness of them, but I don't know anymore.

Alright, thanks... I prolly will get new RAM for Decemberween (lol, H*R, don't ask) and maybe Crysis when it comes out or whatever, I could use a first person game besides Oblivion (I can't play STALKER and other PFS games due to court reasons from earlier in the year, no biggie) to play... Although, you can play Oblivion any way you want to... so...

But yeah, Crysis is on my buy list, cool storyline, kickass gameplay, etc.
