    Default Asus vs EVGA

I'm deciding which one to put in my PC, either the Asus P5N32-E SLI or the EVGA 680i SLI. I want to know which one is better in overclocking; which one runs cooler (i.e. north and south bridge); and which has the better features (like BIOS options). Numerical data for highest FSB achieved on average and temps for the chipset would be very much appreciated. I have searched on Google for a bit and didn't find much useful info. So I was hoping a good number of people owned these boards (or had experience with them) and could provide me with this data. Thanks guys!

I would recommend agianst the Asus P5N32-E SLI.
I've had to send mine back to RMA twice. x2

The heat fins / pipes on the Power Mosfets are good for nothing, but looks.
I removed the one that runs to the northbridge as it was causing BSOD.

I cut the pipe off an added a fan, Haven't had any problems with it since.
    Plexi Nothbridge Cooler.

I have an EVGA 680i SLI board and it's great. I've had absolutely no problems with it and it's a great performer.

Anyone know the difference between the EVGA-NF68-AR and the A1?

i couldn't find anything on the AR but they have T1 and TR versions. i'm still not fully aware of the differences. i saw somewhere that the T1 is for C2D overclockers. but as far as i know the A1 is the best, aside from the sexy new Black Pearl mobo and matching 8800 Ultra Black Pearl.

When I was shopping for mine, I stopped caring about the minute differences and just bought one that fit my needs. Here's what I think it's like:

NF-68 boards: Have pretty much all the features you'll find on any EVGA mobo; set the standard.

NF-63: Has pretty much all of those features above, but doesn't have C2Q OC'ing support.

As far as answering your question, that doesn't help much, but I'd say just look at Newegg comparisons, and buy what fits your price. As for me, I got the NF-63 SLI SE. ~$100 cheaper than the other ones, and I don't have a quad-core system, so I don't care.

The reason I asked about the AR and A1 differences is that when I got my EVGA mobo (when it first came out), it was the AR. Then I heard they came out with a new revision, A1. I don't know the differences though. I want to know because when I look at reviews, the A1 might be getting the good reviews.

And just recently, I won the Asus mobo. I was thinking whether I should take the time and switch out the mobos. But after reading Eclecticos's post, sounds like the EVGA is better and I should just leave it in.
