    Are all the pins still on the other side? Or did you do something special to that side as well? I have alot of old cpu's that I could definately try this on.

    Hmm, I'd heard of this being done but never actually seen it. Now I want to... man. I got Pentium MMXs all over the place 'round here too!

    Now we just need to think up a good use for Pentium IIs (Slot 1).

    lols... this how I remember that this pllace is like home...

    I used to have an old 8MB stick of ram on mine until the board broke, and one of my good friends has a Pentium 2 on there...

    btw... you're scaring me with this dead 478 buisness... I'm currently running 1 Dothan, 2 Northwoods, and 1 Willamette....

    I bought a HP Pavilion off of ebay that had been sabotaged by the seller's kid's--they pulled the HSF off of the CPU and let it run for however long it took for it to go to data heaven.

    So don't worry too much about other 478's dying--in fact, my server is a 478.

    what thumper said.... my northwood 2.4 lasted 5 years (I believe I got it at the end of '02?) with stock everything

    Nothing like using outdated hardware for something else.

    I have two 486 MoBo's, both have 8 sticks of memory:




    So I pulled them out:




    And made keyrings!
