Windows is like a dog: if you move it to a new house/computer, you have to "tell" it where everything is.
If you move the HDD from one PC to another, wipe all the hardware drivers off and install ones appropriate for the new hardware. One exception to this is if you are only using the generic Windows drivers for, say, the video card, you don't need to do this but the video card may not run as well.

I bought a New motherboard to tide me over intil I got my P5N32-SLI Delux back from ASUS: RMA Back from ASUS today. The ECS P4M89OT-M I purchased from NewEgg works wonderful I've had absolutely Zero problems with, I just slapped it in there and put a 250GB sata HD on there with windows vista already loaded. Loaded right up, like it's supposed to.
Here is my question: Should I go ahead and ReTry the P5N32-SLI in the system I'm on now, and use the ECS Board for my Saturn Magnetospere.
or Leave this computer alone as it's running fine, and put the ASUS board in another case?
If you swap Windows over to new hardware you have to revalidate it, which in my case consisted of repeating a 54 or so digit number multiple times and having an Indian woman give me one back. Such great fun. Just do a clean install even though I do believe you have to do the same thing...

I hope to God they didn't send me another Defective refurb board.
Whoo. . Hooo o
When I first booted her up she started doing the same thing as before, the dreaded infinite reboot. So I tried repairing windows that didn't work. So i was forced to reinstall, now I have to transfer all my files over to the New Installation. O well. I'm just glad they sent me one that works. . The first time I got it back from ASUS: RMA it wouldn't even load the bios.
Now I have time to get back to Moddin'
