Thanks for everyones input. Cox actully offers a 12mbps speed to but I think its $60/month.
Seems to me I'm one of the slow ones with 1.5 down. An option of over 6mbps down is non-existent where I live due to Telephone & Cable monopolies.

LOUD AND PROUD !
BellSouth FastAccess DSL (which I think is now AT&T). Adelphia (which I think is now Comcast) didn't have reliable-enough high-speed cable, and at the time I had both, DSL was faster and more reliable for less money.

Rogers Extreme HIgh Speed Cable 6Mbps down 1Mbps up... and i have yet to find a website that has a outbound traffic of over 700Mpbs.... speed test rates me as a lil lower than what im payin for tho
rly unless ur a hardcore downloader or a crazy fragger there is no way ur gunna notice a big difference,.... if i didnt run more than one server i woulda already downgraded heh
The only reason I'm using the 7mb/sec connection is because of the unlimited download/upload. Not that I download much, but for my work I upload a lot more then the 1.5 limit me to
Anyone who think a computer is sexy need to #$? and fast
For our house, 1.5mbps isn't enough. We need at least 8mbps to keep me happy. For us, it's a choice of either 8mbps ADSL or 24mbps ADSL2+ (which you're only likely to get a quarter of, if that). The problem here is the upload speed and the amount of data you're given. We're currently on 25GB+50GB (with the 50GB only accessible between 12AM-8AM) for $95.

But I'm on 30mb business class cable. No caps. It's pretty nice.
