The reason for some devices being limited in capacity are the file system they read from the device. If that's the case, then they likely cant see multiple partitions either.

Somewhat offtopic, I did see someone build a 4gb raid array using 4 - 1gb Ipod Shuffles and a USB hub. Not really any point to it except to see if it could be done.

Hmm... good point. I think a handhelp computer with Windows Mobile 5.0 could see quite a bit though. It's got a 400mhz CPU and about 64mbs RAM... and older PCs with similar specs could see like 20gb drives, right? There's got to be some sort of relationship like that... (yeah, I know I sound ignorant, just speculating and hoping, lol).

That would be something good to use them for, a raid drive(s), lol.

I"m not sure.. my pda is WM5, and has no troubles with a 2gb CF card.. if I get my hands on a 4gb or bigger I'll test it.
