    The x6800 is more expensize because it's fully unlocked. The entire line is locked at their multipliers (9x, 10x, etc.), but that one can go the whole range.

    edit: Greco, if your going to get a whole new system (so to speak), would you consider selling the old mobo to me? Not for much, of course, since it's busted some, but I'd like to try my hand at soldering practice. It'd be a fun project to try and repair it. I'll pm you in the morning with more info.

    Sorry man, its long gone. I stole the heatsinks/processor off of it and trashed it. If I come across any with an obvious and fixable problem, I'll PM you - no need to pay me anything.
