i'd go with 6600GT and save your cash. if u have $200, it doesnt mean that you have to spend all of that money. 6600GT is a greta card for the money and it will be able to play most games on medium/high settings.
Ok, if I want to put the extra money in my computer where should it go?
no where. dont, in a year, its gonna be old anyways. put it in a bank, get something that will last longer.
So the 6600GT wont be old in a year? If I have the money why not go for a 6800 or the X800?
Shop at mwave.com they have awesome prices. I just bought my 9800 Pro for $124
Im 427 and I approved this post
did you look at benchies? how much better is 6800 and x800? im not home right now so i dont have time to look for them. those cards are not that much better. look at benchmarks, look at prices, then see if its worth it.
By what Ive read, it looks like if you want the maximum visual quality out of games then go with the 6800, but if you want good performance while saving some cash go with the 6600GT. What do you need to have dual monitors? Do you need dual DVI out?
id get a used x800xl
for dual monitors all u need is 2 monitor outs. most cards have 1 DVI and 1 VGA. there are VGA->DVI adaptors and vise/versa. so u'll be fine
