    Default Rack System ...

Ok I am posting this in the case files as I have not modded the case (Yet).

I been working slow on a couple of projects and needing access to one of the machines that will be placed into a mod that I am currently in the design phase on. I got a 4U Rack mount case & PSU shipped to me. I spent 1 night after working getting this put together and back on line...

As always when a new case is shipped to you.. You need to un-pack the bad boy and have it looked over with someone in the QA deptment.

At this point I think my helping is starting to think the computer case is her's. So as any self respecting father would do....

Have them make sure the shipping box is of good quality and it keeps them happy.

P.s. these pics were taken on 6/9 before Dante had his son working on the test rig.

time to add more goodies to it.. but 1st need to add the mounting screws

Mother board fits and with out any problms

(Intel 856Perl Motherboard - 1st one I got with SATA, Proc is an Intel 2.4b)

I go an good old PSU off the self and used it in place of the one they lost in shipping to my house (Received it a couple of days later.. and I will use it only when I dont have a decent spare and my work shop PSU has been used - in other works IT SUCKS).

I took out the cage where the other 2 HDD will sit, an 80 G SATA and 160G SATA drive. Both will be cooled by the above 120MM fan.

Nothing like a quick 5 min wiring job to hold you over ..

System is back up and running and now I have gotten my Linux ISO off the machine and on to the NSLU2 (Network Storage Link Unit). Small Device on top of the Case. It is also the Brains that will be in the final mini Wopr.
