    Default 7600GT vs 7600GS?

    7600 GT $159.99
    Clock 650MHz
    GDDR3 1600Mhz 256MB

    7600 GS $124.99
    Clock 500Mhz
    GDDR2 800Mhz 512MB

Which one will be the most bang for my buck? I have no clue.

The 7900GS has more bang for the buck than the 7600GT you picked out. The big difference is that the 7900GS has 20 pixel pipelines as opposed to the 12 that the 7600GT has. Also the memory interface on the 7900GS is 256-bit. Also comes with a nice rebate to bring the price even lower.

Hmm, you are absolutely correct but I suppose I should have mentioned that I'm trying to go with a passively cooled card. I don't play many computer games, I only photoshop and do a bit of video editing. You are steering me a better direction though, minus the GPU fan. +Rep

Isn't the 7600GT a PCIe card? I bought the 7600GS as it was about the best AGP card I could find around here.

... I don't know if I'm missing something, but both of the links he posted were for PCI-E cards.. 7600GS PCI-E cards do exist...

Something you might notice are the fans on the EVGA cards are actual "fans" (the blades are curved) while on other cards they have spinner looking fans that are just moving plates. Go to the review page (set to 100 posts) and search for the word "quiet" (ctrl+f), there are quite a few that say it only gets loud when gaming. If you want it quieter, buy one of those Zalman VGA coolers as those are super quiet.

EDIT: If it absolutely has to be passively cooled, this looks to have the best heatsink and 'bang-for-your-buck' (Yes, I know it's out of stock currently)
