Default ZALMAN ZM-MFC1 Fan Controller, Is it any good?

Hey, I've been looking to buy a ZALMAN ZM-MFC1 Fan Controller and wanted to know if anyone has used it yet. What did you like/dislike about it? Should I get something else?

I"m really looking for something that will control my fans based on system temps but is not software controlled.
If I do end up getting it, I'm going to mount it in one of my case drive bay covers and laser etch the lables and images into the front.

    Thanks.

I don't think you need to install any software for this one:

I would only imagine that a product with Zalman's logo slapped on it would be up to par.

Google it for some reviews. I'm SURE there are at least a zillion. It's been around forever and almost every online retail website has it.
People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People’s heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool.

Basically I've had problems with software controlled fan controllers. Either they don't work right, or there is a bug in the software that causes crashes.

Ok, so I looked at a review of the Silverstone FP52 and they didn't mention anything about software at all. You might want to look into it.

Thanks for your input you guys. I just ordered the Zalman from Newegg.com literaly seconds ago. Lets see how long it takes to get here. Like I said before, I'm planning on doing some custom laser etching on a drive bay cover to mount this to. anyone have any cool ideas?
