    Default All coolers you recommend.

I thought that this could be the thread where people could post coolers that they recommend, or very very extreme coolers that they have read about. I do this partially to help myself out. I try to find cool coolers that work well. Post cases, fans, and sinks; for CPU, GPU, ram, case or whatever. I'll start.

I have a friend who uses this cooler. It is very very good.

Next is the arctic web. I've wanted to build a machine with this since I first read about it. They also made a cooler for a very limited time for the GPU as well. It looks like I'm going to have to build my own now since the company has gone out of business.

Here is the vapochill micro. It is a pretty innovative cooler in my opinion. Somewhat similar to heat pipe, but done better.

The TNN 500AF is one cool case for noiseless computing. The downside is the price. It is still cool though.

This is a decent idea, cooling air before it enters a case. The problems are that it only cools the air a few degrees, and that you can only get it with a case.

Okay, that is all for now. Post some of yours. Also, I'm looking to buy some heatpipe all by itself, but it looks like it doesn't really exist or is very hard to find.

Zalaman I reckon are the top of the pops when it comes to coolers.

They have this air cooler which gives great cooling and is cheap to.

Also the best consumer fanless water cooling system on the market.

While I can vouch for this one personally here is a review.

When it comes to fans the most silent fans around are made by

    Scythe

Nexus (Probably the most well known for their fans)

    Vantec

And for the most extreme fans

Fans made by Delta Electronics inc. would have to take the cake.

With there 120mm model pushing 220 CFM of air. And belting out 65.0 dB. About the same decibel rating as someone talking loudly or a busy office.

    Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme
It is basically an update to the Ultra-120 which is done by adding 2 more heatpipes. It will be released soon. But if you want a cooler that is out now, you can check out the non-Extreme version.
Here's a link to a page in an article that shows the graph of its cooling performace. You can see how it compares to other heatsinks (non-Extreme version is included too) and how it scales with clock speeds.

    Note:
Thermalright doesn't include a fan when you buy their heatsinks so you can pair it up with a fan that suits your preference. AnandTech paired it up with the Scythe S-Flex SFF21F.

Seems like a few people are getting hyped up about the Cooler Master GeminII. But I won't recommend it yet as I haven't seen any reviews. I hope AnandTech does one so they can do a direct comparison to the other coolers.

ill second the thermalright ultra 120. dont know of the xtreme but.. the "regular" is a great cooler. ive got the same one. just a note on it thought. if you have a socket 939 board, it will only install up and down.. not side side. so.. the fan either blows up, or straight down, which isnt the absolute greatest for airflow

the coolermater gemin II is also an awesome cooler. not only for cpu, but.. also passive heatpipe boards. make sure you've got a big case though if you are gonna put 2 120mm fans on it. ive got it in a thermalte tsunami dream (which isnt the smallest case around) and have a bout 1/2 an inch on either side of it. so.. its very close to my rear exhaust fan and very close to my 3.5's. ill post some pics soon of it installed.

p.s. make sure you install ram on mobo first, cause you wont be able to reach it well later. i had to rip my whole system apart 2 times before i got everything to fit the way i wanted, and ram installed properly.

but. on a positive note. got a e6400 oc'd to 2.93, idle temps 30ish, with full load 42-43ish. and my heatpipes on asus p5n32-e sli plus are cooled by 7degrees.

I recently picked up a Zalman CNPS9700 LED for my AM2 X2 3800+. I am extremely pleased. It dropped my temps 12C from the stock AMD cooler and that is with it running at 40%, to keep in nice and quiet. I use Speedfan, so that when the temps start rising under load, the fans will automatically jump up to 100%. I give it a

Awsome deal everyone. Looks like most of my research and your help is pointing me to Zalman for good performance w/o a high cost. I'll be posting pics soon of my setup My other question leads towards the Fanmate controller Zalmans come with... Do you really need it or will my multifunction panel take care of that?

    Thanks!

    Its an AeroCool Extreme Turbine

I probably wouldn't have picked this fan, but I was in a bind and had to go to CompUSA. They really don't have a great fan selection. It works well, I have it running at 40% as well and it seems to be virtually silent.

you dont like the aerocool extreme turbine? ive got 2 in my case for circulation. i think they are great. They look great, run a great cfm with minimal db level, and if you need them too, they'll pump out like 93cfm (mind you, there are pretty loud)

I've got mine running at about 40% too, and i love the sound level. i can almost here my nvsilencer on my gpu over the 2 aercool's.

If you have a multifunction, you've got no worries. mind you, it has to have the ability to control fan speeds, but im sure your aware of that already.

im wondering why you think you'll get good performance w/o high costs? to get a good zalman hsf (not the old 7700 or something but the newer 9700)you are actually looking to pay a couple bucks more than something like a thermalright ultra 120, which is actually supposed to be a better heatsink

compare these prices for a sec

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835118019
    $59.99

    $69.99

to these, which are technically rated better

    $48.99
