Yay. I'm kinda letting my computer fall off the charts. It's just gonna get slower and slower, and then in a year-ish or so I'm going to rebuild and spend lots of money on a brand spankin new, top of the line one. I love technology.

And a few months later it will be worthless lol. Stupid technology.

45nm is going to be and when they decide to start using diamon in processors they will be even nicer.

It's pretty funny that my 3.2GHz proc in R2D2 is considered slow and OLD.

I'm running a 2Ghz Processor, and i can play any game i have (including Dark Messiah and Oblivion) with the settings at full.

Processing power is overrated for games, buy the power you need.

Indeed. I use my 2.2ghz athlon xp 3200+ for games no problem.

As well I know use my 1.6ghz dual core no problems.

I agree Dave. I have a 3.0ghz proc and can run almost anything, but my video card is my limitation right now (x850xt), so my outside Oblivion rates are not that good and downright painful at high settings. Indoor is fine at High.

My cpu rarely reaches 75% utilization if that.

i can agree with that i went cheap on my proc bc i knew that i would go SLI with my graphics cards and i can run all my games at full on my dual 17inchers on a 2.2ghz opteron (oc'd to 2.4)
check out my pc on youtube

    I'm still running a P4 Northwood.

    3.0 Ghz of pure power.

It lags every so often, but still kicks my other PC's butts in speed. My 9800XT has heat issues, always has, I'm too cheap to buy a new heatsink.
I'm just going to keep this as a desktop for a few years, and get a new laptop with a Duo, that should keep me well rounded.

Although I do like to see progress, hopefully AMD will copy this technology and make it more efficient.
