Here's a couple more. Next I'll be figuring out the way I'll set up the components and ports placement.
I'll be figuring out the head later. What do you guys think of this one?

those seem kind of heavy. Will they make your mod top heavy? Off balance?

not if he fills the bottom half with bricks...
It's not what I want either. I have so much still left to accomplish and the head will be purchased when I find the absolute best one. It will be a perfect fit and be lightweight and I'll take as much time as I want finding it. Tommorrow I will do a little recon to try and find something. I'm thinking an old BIG globe may work.
Now you talking. You could go to wal-mart and find a cheap globe with the right diameter. Then just hack it up when you get home.
GREAT IDEA!!

I stood up R2. He's stable for now, but later I'll add whatever I decide to keep him that way.
Here's another with my 5 year old daughter next to him, just to get a real idea on R2's height.
I've decided to use the bottom portion of a Weber Grill for his head. It measures 22.5 inches and will be perfect. The grill will be about $60.00. The only problem is that after I remove the grills legs and the ash catcher I'll need to do some bondo work to cover the holes left.
is ur dauter holding soccer balls or choking the life out 2 pandas? btw the mod looks great
small potatoes on the bondo work
