I got the Vapochill in the mail today.
As you can see, it's gonna add a bit of weight to R2.

Gah!!..its gonna be Vapochilled...no way thats just sick. R2DeeTooOC'd geeze!
I'm thinking I can get my 3.2 to 4.0!

I set the Vapochill in for reference sake, obviously this is upside down, but it's still accurate. As you can see, it just fits.
And I painted the IO plate to match the ports.
I may have a solution to the weight of the vapochill in regards to how much R2 can support. When I bought the grill it came with this:
If I make some short legs, I can put this uder R2 to hold the vapochill in place.
Today I bolted down the heat shield and motherboard tray. I also cut a hole for where the heatsink from the Vapochill will come up through from the bottom.
Looking really good. Like the VapoChill as well. Drool...
I've been meaning to post this for everyone. Here's what I've been using for R2's striping. I've seriously gone through 18 packs!
Also, I've got both pieces of R2's eye; the lens and framing for it. (the lens is covered with masking tape to protect it.
Off topic.
Here's a old socket 3 motherboard that I will be turning into a clock for my work area.
I do all my modding in my 3 car garage. It's been getting a bit messy ever since I started on R2. This is clean enough.
I did two things last night.
1. I painted the eye frame blue.
2. I fixed the pin striping around the IO plate.
I'm not even that big a Star Wars fan, but this mod is jsut hella kool. Keep it up. I can't wait till its completed.
This will help you get the image of where I'm at:
