    Default 2000 Watt Power Supply

    http://legitreviews.com/article/436/1/

Here it is, in all it's glory. It's HUGE glory, that is. At 10.25" long, it'll fit in your case. (if you have a big case. or a dremel.)

"With 1800w available on the +12v rail, that means it can handle an amazing 150A load!"

"...the Ultra X3 2000W PSU will be available to consumers sometime in Q1 2007."

    Crazy.

I should get a power supply like that, use only the cables you need. That'd be excellent cable management.

it's sad since all the proc companies are trying to lower power, but the video card industry is like "**** work, as long as it perfoms better, we think it is better". There should be no reason for a 2000w psu. How much is that gonna run up the electric bill?

i was thinking about the uses for a 2000 watt supply... the only thing i can come up with is you can run multiple systems off one supply. my system uses about 400 watts... so i could power 5 of them with that 2000 watt. i suppose it would be useful in render farms and folding clusters... you could probably get away with powering close to 10 bare bones systems for those purposes.
