    Default first great front update

    so thats the starting position

i wanna describe howto modelling, at the following pic you see 3 areas

i want to sand the red area
i want to make some structure on the leaves (green area)
i want to create another interesting structure on area blue

i used some sandpaper and put it around a pice of lumber

and removed careful layer for layer ....

    a few holes remain...

so i decided so fill with the spackle

i found a drinking straw with a hinge and decided to use the hinge to make the structure of the leaves

i put some spackle sausages on the place a want, waited a few minutes (to hardening) and then i put carefully the hinge on the sausages

you can see on left side the drinking straw done but on the right side not

i used a old chiller to groove the blue area
now i put some spackle on it and pulled the chiller in the direction i want over it

    now are both sides done

the whole front and u can see the filling (red area is done), the leaves and the blue area is structured

    .... Stay tuned! ....

Default second great front update - Paintjob -

after the front prepairing was finished we had this

and we want this paintjob ...

i paint all the dark colors (except at the green middle) on there place the have a base coat (used watercolor at all)

the grounding is finished and i add some effects and highlights now

i did some highlights at the red area

i made a movie of the highlight process at the side
    http://rapidshare.com/files/11976068/frontpaintjob.rar.html
at this technique u have to make sure, that you have a dry brush with only a least color on it

    thats the result

i painted some effects on the leaves and the middle stripe (i used my white edding)

i put some details on the technical thing in the middle

afterwards i highlighted the hump on the buttom and the big humps at the head (black and white edding used)

    i know,
as i noticed that between the donuts (you called) was not enough for my design ... i pimped it with a piece of an superstar destroyer model, i bought a long time ago and so it does not 100% match

hope u like it even so
