    Default Graphics card

I just built a computer with a Nvidia GeForce 6600 graphics card and I do not know what the problem is. It is horrible picture even icons have hanging pixels. I am not really a software guy and need to figure out the problem with this because it sucks.
I would appreciate any suggestions; Thank You

Good idea. Check for the newest drivers, and check your BIOS, especially the BIOS. I was hung up one night for almost 2 hours because of my BIOS.

This is true. Make sure that you have installed the chipset drivers for your motherboard _first_, then the gfx card drivers. I have seen this issue and it was either a bad gfx card or the mobo drivers were not installed.

Sorry, I realized that the way I writed it may sound rude; my head work like a troubleshoot sheet in those situation (too much troubleshoot work maybe) In the Bios, you should look for the memory allowed to the vid card. even with a 128MB card, it can happen that the mobo need to allow more memory to the video.
