    Default eSATA power

I just bought an eSATA external hard drive that uses that special power connector. I've been taking it to LAN parties and having to bring its power cable is very annoying. Is there any kind of PCI bracket with the eSATA power connector on it that I can get? Cause I've looked all over and can't find one. I've found eSATA cards with the power connector on it, but I just want the connector.

    Thanx,
    -Indybird

Your talking to power your hard drive right? I have an external as well.. and thats the problem I have. Its annoying that ITS SO CONVIENT to plug the esata into the back of your computer.. but then you have to find a power outlet for your external as well...

is that what you are talking about??

    Hmmm...

I'll have to think on how you will be able to do this... I'm sure there is a way though. Hopefully something will come to me...

Can you link me to the product you have? Or post a picture or something?

anyone else have any idea's on how to do this?

Couldn't you just use the cable in the pic I posted earlier and make a connection on the computer with a free molex from the PSU? I have no experience with eSATA so I don't know if the connections are different, but that seems like it should work.
