    Default Horizontal Case Modding (discussion)

I am working the case below now and would like to share ideas and your thoughts are welcome and needed.
I was thinking of a more custom look.
Some new ideas in case design, the box and tower have been done.
I am not trying to hide my computer either but make it the center piece.
Also to create discussion in the modding area so ideas flow.
With the size and weight of some of the air coolers like the Scythe Infinity CPU Cooler & Tuniq Tower 120Vigor & Monsoon II Active TEC CPU Cooling System and many others every picture I have seen has been caseless , because only a crazy person would hang one of these monsters off their CPU/Motherboard (And some will not fit LOL). The only fix for this is to horizontally mount the mobo and some people have just layed their case on it's side and leave the side open, but this causes many problems too with the HDD, CD/DVD, PSU placement, air flow, dust and not to forget children and pets (they get into everything). And this does not look cool after spending that much money on a killer system.

This is the NEW idea I have been working on "The Temple".
The base houses the DVD/CDs drives.
The bottom section houses the motherboard.
The second section houses the PSU and HDDS and fansand the top fans, lights.

If you are going with a horizontal layout and like the temple look, why not a model of the Parthenon? It is dimensionally similar to a PC on it's side and would lend to some great artistic opportunities. I thought about trying this a while ago, it would be fun to make.

I liked the Parthenon idea and will use it for the printer it will add to the theme of my study( I am a history/computer nut).
I really hate boring box shape cases and that is why I came up with the round temple in a middle eastern design.
Maybe convert one of my balsa ships to hide the external HDDs.
The only modern things in the room will be monitors, keyboard and mouse, I have not found a way to hide them so I might just cover them in wood or inset them into the desk.
