yes, u can.. just browse around the web.. there are plenty of htpcs with renotes that can do that.. and you can do it yourslef too..takes some science and electronics.. but it's doable.. but still, browse around for pc accesories as i'm sure there is something already made.. Tt made a fan controller with a remote control... heck.. i bet there is something out there..
Hehe Bcos i was thinking of putting a neon under my case like my car... the i thought i want a remote 2 turn the pc on ... yet again like my car has the clifford security with the remote 2 turn the engine on!btw by my car i mean my parents im on 15 ^^

Using an Imon Inside unit like me, you could boot up your computer and control some features more
hmm... interesting... made me think for a while.. and heres a way to do this easyly.. for the obsessed one, i mean..
take the permanent +5v source from your psu.. borrow from one usb header's 5V line if u don't wanna void any waranty.. then put somesort of radio sensor of your choice in-line and end this wire with the gate pin of a transistor of your choice.. and splice the power button in parallel with the transistor.. so, when you activate the radio sensor once, you allow voltage to flow to the gate.. therefore you open it and ..beep.. push longer and you can even turn it off (4 secs, right?) so... you can switch the PC on/off easily and in the most DIY way hehe, happy modding
The ASUS P5W motherboard has a remote control to turn it on and control your music, wifi, and fans.
Here's a link to it:

I think it's a nice motherboard too and wish I had one...:p
@Professors post;
Currently I'm planning to buy one within the week, and I also know that Asus have a AM2 mobo with the same features...
Does anyone know if the Asus remote is IR or RF... Hopeing its IR so I can incorperate the button with the IR reciever I have and use an all-in-one remote, unfortunately I doubt it is
