    Default Custom H20 Kit ....I Need Some Help??

    Can anyone tell me if I have everything I need to have a beginners water cooling kit? I'm making my own reservoir out of UV Acrylic. (which you can find in a link at the bottom of the page). Anywho, I'm just building a low cost, bare essentials kit so if I am missing something that is important then please let me know! Otherwise just tell me if I have everything or not. ^_^ .....also on some of the items, I dont know how much of it to order. So if someone could tell me... that would be truly awesome!!!

    My budget isnt that big so all I am going with (for now) is the volcano CPU/Rad. Although since my system will be SLI soon I defiantly have to think of Dual GPU Liquid Cooling. My Hard Drive is external so thats not a problem/possibility. As for my Ram ...they have heat spreaders. I wouldnt liquid cool four 512's.

    As for the koolance kit there... My case is the Nxzt Lexa. I dont think it would fit even if I wanted it to. Which I dont because I am going custom. Anyone can buy a H20 Kit. Besides... The Koolance kit and any other kit wont glow! (That and even if I got it to fit up there I would have to take out the fan up top.)

    That volcano block is awsome. I allways wanted one.

    My custom kit (plans only at the moment) would have the volcano, a 360mm rad and a 160mm rad. I'd eventually get as many blocks as i could and go with a dual pump setup runing 2 seprate lines. One would be for cpu, capasitors, and chipset. The other line would be for everything else like gpu, ram, and HDD.

    Let me know how the volcano works out for ya.

    For those plans, lets get a little more in-depth.

    Here's how the tubing Diagram would go, from what I understand, pump first.

    Pump->Res->CPU->1/2" to 3/8"->80mm rad->3/8" to 1/2"->pump

    assuming that it pumps in that direction, that is.

    Sounds like a plan to me. You're getting a 7600GT (or similar variant)?

    Go with a 7800GT. There are many, many, many more SLi kits for 7800's.

    wouldn't it be better it you pump your water _out_ of the res? I don't have experience with watercooling, but I think it would be better...

    res -> pump -> CPU -> ....etc....

    Okay first off... There is no way I can afford a $200+ video card when I am already spending about 600 bucks on my entire computer. I totally and absolutely would if I could. But I am going to get the next best thing for half the price. Aka - Gefoce 7600GS 512MB. And yes I have heard that the 512 is worst than the 256MB. But thats ok... The best teacher in life is making mistakes. Second off... I have now decided to change my plans about the GPU. I am going to buy a cheap universal GPU water block. I know, I know. I shouldnt do that because its very dangerous. Well all I have to say to that is that I will double and triple check everything and take every precaution there is to take to make it work. The reviews were 4 to 4.5 out of 5 stars for this block so I should be just fine. Ive also decided that I am not going with the second reservoir. I could get away with it if I didnt get the gpu block but I've decided that I rather have a gpu block than a second res. Hmm... I think that just about it folks! Hope your all rooting for me with this mod! lol Since it IS my first mod and I have no idea what I am getting myself into! lol oh well.. we unlike the phoenix learn from our past. ^_^

    Oh and also about the order of things... for now this is what I have decided.. but when this is all done I will base my decision off of the order that best cools my computer since I have an onboard temperture guage.

    Res > Pump > GPU > Rad > CPU/Rad > Res

    I'm using the Thermaltake Volcano 4005 Heat Exchager with an optional fan.. which I will defiantly take that option! Its either 80mm or a 90mm and I decided to go with a 90mm Clear Blue LED Fan that has a whopping 78CFM... which I believe is the highest for a clear led fan. I was thinking about going with a 110cfm fan but its dBA is WAY to high.
