Default Intel socket 775 processor fan question

Anyone know of a good 80mm fan that makes use of the new intel 4 pin motherboard fan header? I'm planning on adding in a swiftech cooler to replace the crap stock intel piece, but my Asus p5ad2 motherboard has a fit everytime I try running a 3 pin fan instead of the stock 4 pin. I'm not even sure what they added on that 4th pin anyways. Any ideas?

i havent heard of a 4pin header fan. might look after it.

Edit: heres a review on the board:
    http://www.digital-daily.com/motherb...um/index02.htm

"Under the socket, there is a 4-pin power connector for the processor cooler (CPU_FAN1). In fact, it is allowed to plug in coolers having 3-pin connectors."

"It should be noted that one CPU_FAN1 connector offers support for the Q-Fan feature which allows adjusting the rotational speed versus temperature (e.g., on Abit AA8 DuraMAX there were three connectors like that)."
