I've been looking around the internet for a way to remove the recycle bin from the desktop without disabling it completely.
Does anyone know how? I want to still have it function normal, just from the start menu or my dock program.
Thanks.

Apparently this will make a change in your registry that renames the recycle bin so you can delete it (i would check it out with notepad before installing anything that messes with your registry (make a back up of it first))
There is another way aswell. You can purchase TweakUI (purchase... yeah, thats a laugh ) It has some option to remove it.

I actually went to that place today and downloaded the thing there. I can then delete it, but then I can't use it in my dock which is really stupid.
Oh!!! Thats because your dock is looking for "recycle bin" which you've renamed... Just go into the options for your dock and change it to the new name of the recycle bin.

easier way is to get a progrma called TweakUI

Just hide all the icons on your desktop, and move 'em all on your Deck... just drop your bin into the Deck and it will act as a shortcut. You can shortcut your bin to your Fast Menu just beside your Start menu and you will still be able to right-click>empty it.
TweakUI.... doh! That was how I got rid of my bin! last time I formated, I was wondering where it was gone. Unfoundable!
Ok, I've got it all worked out now. I hid 'em all. Thanks for some of the sarcasm and scoffing when I didn't get it right off the bat.
j/k it's cool. The answers were right in front of my face. Thanks for the help.
