Default It's official: ISPs in southern Idaho SUCK.

BridgeMaxx used to be our ISP. At least they had reasonable pricing. $20/month, constant 4 down.

Then they got bought out by SpeedConnect. HORRIBLE customer service! Slow speeds for what we're paying!

We're "supposed" to be getting 8 down, $70/month, Only getting 1 down.

So, that leaves us with looking for another ISP.

Cable One: 2 down, $40/month with nothing else.

Century link: 4 down, $40/month, nothing else.. Besides, we had Qwest charging us $80/month in the past. Not going there again.

Verizon: Didn't bother looking at pricing, as we're having issues with Verizon at my dad's work.

Comcast: Not available in my area.

Dish Internet: 5 down, $100/month. AHAHAHAHAno.

If somebody who can help me get service for a REALISTIC price, that'd be MUCH appreciated. I just don't feel much appreciated with every ISP in our area sucking every last non-existent penny out of our wallets.

Otherwise, we're going to have to cut the cable.

Bro, you gotta move. Those numbers are painful.

A few years ago, when my local ISPs basically all sucked or charged stupidly exorbitant rates for basic service, I discovered an effective tactic.

Get a quote from one, in writing. Then ask "can you do better?" when showing it to another. Repeat until best deal obtained.
My mind says Technic, but my body says Duplo.

Yeah our Cable one is at least decent speeds here. They still aren't the best. Idaho is a bit backwards when it comes to High Speed internet.

Is Frontier in your area? They don't have the best speeds, but the prices are decent (for the rural middle of nowhere we live), and the speeds are tolerable. Better yet, they don't have bandwidth caps, which I oppose on the basis of principle.

    Nope.

I took a look at CL a bit more, and their speeds, are, indeed, backwards.

    A 1-year agreement is CHEAPER than a 2-year. WHAT?!?

And... You didn't hear it from me, but we may be relocating soon. It'll probably be in a couple years, but in the meantime, help me look for an ISP with a RESONABLE price!
