Default A bit of a recording dilema

    Here's the situation:
My brother and I want to do some recording of gameplay together.
The problem is, I can get his voice and the game sounds, or my voice.

    Here's the current setup:
My computer, running Kubuntu 12.04, using PulseAudio and recordmydesktop.

    My brother's computer, running Vista.

We are currently using Google Voice to transfer audio. Pretty good quality, little delay. Which is why we're using that.

My question is, what's the best way that we can have all three?

PS: Using my brother's computer to record is out of the question. It only has a Radeon x300. And he refuses to let me upgrade it.

And I can't use Windows , as it is NOWHERE as good of quality as Linux (for screen recording, that is).

Run your audio ouput from the computer out to a mixer, add in any other audio sources there, then run back to the mic input on the computer, and make sure it's set to MUTE so you dont hear the input PLUS the output.

    Not a bad idea.

    Problem is, I don't have one .

BUT, I do have several spare computers. And a monitor with switching inputs....

What about just running a/v outputs to some other recording device, such as a vcr or PVR? Then just recapture the AV into the computer later?
