Default Dusting out, and a bummer...

My computer was having its fans blazing, and temps were a little higher than summer usual. So, dust-out time.

    *hack* *cough* *wheeze*

Man, what did a month of dust-filled, low-humid air do to it????

In the meantime, I found the 6850 (that I had been meaning to return to TGS)

    Plugged it in.

    Nothing.

It failed to pass POST test. Keyboard never flashed, other than its own LED test. Monitors never went out of low-power mode, both VGA CRT, and DVI LCD.

Looking at the date code, "30/12/10". So, if it had a warranty, it's more than likely gone. TGS would know, though.

Ah well, my 550Ti is working like a charm, though.
Two years. They were great. Let's make the next ones even better!

No, I didn't have a warranty since I bought it directly from AMD. But it certainly doesn't help that you never mailed it back either.....
