Built this morning for my son's room.
Alder plywood and solid. Will have some shelves mounted above it for an X-Box that switches via the monitor. I would've stained it but ran out of time.

Nice work!
Not your most conventional gaming chair. Then again if its working for ya.. no need to change.
The chair was not my decision...it was my wife's.
Since she's gone I swapped it out for a more conventional gaming chair. My son is well-pleased.
Thank you for the compliment. Since I have a computer worklog to post up and get after, I'm trying my best to take care of home projects like this to free up some time and space! I'll post again once it's stained and finished.
Awesome desk!
Very nice work indeed. I love it.
With a little more work, you could completely eliminate cable clutter!
Yep AmEv, that's the plan.
I'll have to move a wall outlet, but when it's done you shouldn't see much. Unfortunately I underestimated the size of the volume control puck and will have to drill another bigger hole, then add shelves above, then stain the desk and paint the room, all by next weekend while working a full-time job. Yikes!
that is pretty cool. i'm diggin' it a lot.
Just finished all the painting today.
The wiring could be tidier, but I have to leave something for my son to do.
Oh, I also have to add another outlet and a network box, but I have some help with that.
man that would be sweet if you had some sort of CCFL or LED light for nighttime gaming and typing mounted under that cubby hole behind the keyboard!
