haha! or like walking into a laundromat and asking if they can clean all your clothes in five minutes.

I agree. Holy cow that's amazing. 3.3Ghz on air is awesome. You are looking at $280ish for mobo and processor combo. You save so much money on those that a high end graphics card seems ok to buy.

overclocking usually voids the warranty. However if its done right no one can tell. But asking to buy a pre-overclocked CPU from Intel would be kind of like walking into a car dealer showroom and asking to buy a stolen car.

actually, stolen is different than increasing the speed.

it would be like walking into a car dealership and asking for a car that is usually naturally aspirated to be turbocharged (and turbocharged isn't an option). not only will you not get it, but you also won't have a warranty anymore if you do it yourself.

you cant buy cpu's overclocked. at least ive never heard of it before.
and its not a specific slot for a dual core cpu, but.. it does require a specific dual core combatible motherboard. i dont know what socket your cpu is, but.. its either 478 or 775 socket
If a CPU is overclocked its modded. And its illegal to sell modded things except like computer cases. Well, I just kno that some teens got arrested from selling modded xboxs so there...don't make fun of me if I made a mistake.

haha, yeah, that always sounds great until you actually get into fridging your comp.... it takes a heck of a lot more than just the equipment for cooling. I know you were talking about jacking the pump and making it into a water cooling setup, but I don't know that is possible, as far as I know it is a totally different setup and fridges use heat pumps rather than physical pumps. Anyways, to get your CPU below room temp you've gotta prep the mobo with special dialectric grease to keep out moisture, as well as insulate around the CPU and wherever else you plan to cool.... I'm looking into setting up a water cooling system on my rig with Peltier's so I've had ta research it a lot lately.

I would set up watercooling but keep the reservoir and a good length of hose in the fridge.
