    Default Longboard repaint

So after a terrible accident involving gravel, a curb, and an extremely lucky bail on my part, my longboard paint job was scratched and scuffed beyond repair... SO i busted out my good old sanding block and went to work.

Here's the stock paint job for this board

And I sanded it down and masked off my design, which i then painstakingly cut out with an exacto knife.

    Ghetto Spray time

And the tape comes off, not lookin too bad i guess. Just a little bit of bleed on it. It kind of adds to the effect in all honesty.

the first coat of varnish (after stain, sorry, forgot to mention that)

    Things still to come:

Second coat of varnsh after sanding
New griptape without the stupid flames
Custom shock pads for this board
A new pair of adam colton paris trucks

Very cool. My buddy repaired and repsrayed a longboard this summer. It was awesome! I'll have to bug him about pictures. He broke it again though... so it's dead.

haha...good weather and long drying times have delayed this project a little, but i want to make sure its 100%cured before i sand it and do the final layer with wiping varnish.

    Nice!

Most of my repaints have just been geometric shapes... For my speed board I tore the grip tape into pieces and put them on the board leopard style... (looking for a photo now...)

EDIT: Those wheels look dodgy to me... How do they ride?
