    Default 1952 Ford Revamp

Well not so much a revamp, more of a get-running-and-sell

My dad has a '52 Ford Coupe. 110HP Flathead V8, 3 on the tree. Hasn't run in 20+ years Basically it's just taking up space in the garage and we want to get rid of it. We'd love to get it running nice and all done up and whatnot, but neither of us have the time or $$ right now to put into it.

So far we have rebuilt the carb, drained the sludge out of the gas tank, new 6V battery from Tractor Supply, new oil and oil filter. We could get it to crank, but it wouldnt fire. Come to find out she's got no spark. My friend's uncle came over tonight and messed with the points. He cleaned them and adjusted the spring tension and re-gapped them, and she fired! She runs ROUGH at best, but she runs We're thinking some new plugs and wires and just run it for a while and get everything all loosened up and she'll be good to go (to the next owner). I'll get some pics tomorrow

I would love that car. My uncle would have a ball fixing that up with me. If only I wasn't broke right now.

It looks like with some elbow grease she'd polish up relatively nice too. Damn.

that looks like a perfect candidate for some 4 wheels disk brakes and a coyote 5.0 v8.

and of course it would need an on-board carputer.

trust me, if I win the lottery it'll get all done up. But I don't foresee that in my future, so it's gotta go

You don't modify such a cherry condition car. You do that to a beater. Mint cars get polished, and driven.
