    By Will Lyon

Gigabyte recently unleashed their new G1.Killer series of motherboards into the market. They're billed as high-performance gaming motherboards with lots of customizations. The three G1.Killer models are the Assassin, Sniper and Guerrilla. Today we'll be looking at the bottom-end of the lineup, the G1.Guerrilla...More.

Thanks for a very good review on what seems to be a very interesting line up of mobos. Did you find any noticable difference with the Bigfoot network controller for general purpose traffic?

TBH I didn't test the killer NIC as I didn't have anywhere close enough to the router to use it. Where my testing area is I need to use wireless. I have seen reviews on other sites that show a decent improvement.

    Nice review.

They don't exactly inspire confidence with the grouping in that poster though. "G1-Killer: Only lethal a portion of the time". The poster would have had a much bigger impact if it actually had a tight grouping with a higher kill rate.

But poster aside, I've always had great luck with all my Gigabyte boards. They've been a bit sloppy with the vDroop, but great boards nonetheless.

Great review, I've always liked Gigabyte stuff but I must admit that magazine looking heatsink and the lime green accents are a little tacky for my tastes... as is this whole "super soldier" marketing thing they've got going.

I imagine the styling will appeal to a lot of people but it is definitely not to my own personal taste... Which is a little odd when you consider I spend most of my clothing budget on Army surplus... This thing just has a strong Toys-R-Us feel to it... Maybe it's just me but if this thing is supposed to be a guerrilla why the hell is it wearing a lime green T-shirt?!
